Members of HARD and EVL

So here is the deal, a select group of members from HARD and EVL (I think all of EVL...) would like to merge into us.

They are promising to only bring their warriors and leave all them builder type people behind. They are looking for an answer very quickly on this as well.

All they are looking for is what they call proportionate Senate seats, roughly 2-3 new senators based on how many people actually come with them, they are expecting roughly 30 members to come.

They are not looking for any officer positions, just a couple people to have a say in Major Alliance Decisions...

So feel free to sound off on your thoughts and opinions on this and any past relations you have had with HARD...

I spoke with Nowhale yesterday about how I didn't want to become paranoid about bringing new members into our ranks. It is very common that with our decision to become the 2nd largest alliance in Theta that alot would want to jump ship and join us b/c of our status.

However on the paranoid side...lol....alot of alliances will try and send spys to infiltrate our ranks and test our unity. I think we can manage those easily with the amount of exp'd players that we have.

I think just offering up council seats is a small compromise and them wanting just those kinda proves their sincerity.

I dont think that it would be a bad idea to bring them in if they want to come. Its not like they are asking for alot just a vote in what is done here. I know someone in EVL and she is pretty cool, she used to be in SCS with us at the time but I dont know if she would be coming over or not. But overall I'm ok with it, I think any chance for growth should be taken.

We have the points for it. I am working on expanding my embassys as we speak.

I don't have a problem with anyone entering and 1 seat per 10 added sounds reasonable for any block that join. So long as they understand they are to be assimilated into the alliance as a whole within weeks and assigned teams and such that may not be with each other depending on the needs of the alliance as a whole.

1 for every 20 is better, rounding up.

I got a couple messages from members asking when they could merge and I said I would get back to them. Can we get a final list of people?

I dont have a problem with it but I would like to keep the council small and fierce. Make it 1:15 spots on council?

I propose we flesh out the duties/responsibilities of the Council so they know whats expected aside from getting a flashy title and a spot in the special chambers.

I already told ceaser my opinion. I like it, and we can get the organization done as a whole too.

We can talk about senate duties in another thread.

Although I think we first should get our own merger done, having more warriors would do us good I think.

But what if the warriors they say they have aren't warriors at all. We just end up with 30 new members then..

if they prove to not be worth a crap I have no issues with booting people

i also agree! when i was home sec before, i was working hard to get HARD to merge with us. it did not materialize coz we end up pillaging each other. lol

this is expected coz the hetre and GAY merger will really attract other warrrior alliance to join us.

i think our merger is going to be theta's uprising.

look at it this way we just may have finally livened up Theta

My perspective of all of this, is that the stronger we are the more WE will OWN Theta..
isnt that what we are really after...lol
basically kind like EP!C dose on Beta..lol..but maybe we would be a little more subtle..

I also find it a nice benefit that the have a volatile history with ELITE, they are familiar with their battle tactics and ways to avoid/retaliate against them...

I think that knowledge alone is enough to warrant letting them in...

any idea who they would be bringing them over?

In my previous experience with HARD:

Even their warriors were not the best warriors. They prey on the weak and can't handle alliances close to their size. One of the alliances that merged with ELITE was half the size of HARD and in a month long war fought HARD to a standstill.

As long as we aren;t getting their dregs I suppose we could educate them.

Done.... I have tole Fact to have them apply ...

I'm cool with them too, if we get new warriors that'd be awesome, and then we can get the stuff done without having to rework it again later. So for the sake of saying so, I'm game.

Just the thought of them joining makes me hard!
