DoE requesting help.

DoE needs help vs EVL and PIMP. I will try and get back to you quickly.

DoE won the previous war and now they are 2 on 1 and DoE is asking for help.

Take a read below. Tell me what you guys think/want to do

Judging from the posting history, I would say that it's beneath our notice.

Honestly I agree with Carsear.
The two offending alliances are together about 1/7th our size.
The one we plan to help is 1/10 our size.
The offending alliances(PIMP & EVL) are lower in ranks than DOE.

So do we have a good reason to get into it?? Like a frnd we have there or have we been indebted by some past favours from them?

Otherwise, it will be again considered bullying. So from my point of view we would rather avoid.

Maybe a little diplomatic help, talking to EVL to lay off, which might help.
Or they might go looking for help too....if they do that, it might be fun to join in.

Though my heart says its a war and I am always for them...lets beat someone up... but ignoring it for the time being.

Well DoE is playing the, we have helped you in the past card. Please help us now.

Maybe it happened before I joined here or maybe I just don't remember but when did they help us out? I don't mind helping out allies or helping out friends but I don't remember them helping us before.

Well if it is "we helped you" card then we ethically should help them. But maybe with resources and garrison rights.

Isnt that a middle path?

The other thot process is, in for a inch then in for a mile. If we need to get involved, then might as well get involved well and good and show who is the boss.

Anyone think one of the bigger alliance might join in if we entire the fray?

I can't remember them helping us either. I certainly didn't receive any help from DoE members (at least directly) in the past.

That said perhaps we have another option:

DoE TS is 7.6 mil

EVL TS is 6.9 mil
PIMP TS is 3.7 mil
for a total of 10.6 mil

I know you can't really tell anything about fighting ability from TS but seems to me adding HA-HA TS of 76 mil would be blatant overkill.

However.....

If King Solomon and the HA-Jr members are willing their 4.7 mil TS would still keep things within the bounds of "fairness." It could "pay our debt" (if one is owed) and be an excellent training exercise for HA-Jr at the same time.

I would have less of an issue supplying our own folks with resources since that does several helpful things:

Teaches the newer folks fighting skills.
They get DoW sanctioned access to OPG (Other Peoples Goods)
Anything we contribute to them that's not used in the war increases the growth of our training alliance instead of being wasted.

Excellent idea carsear. In fact, i really thought of that, but given the guys we have in the training alliance apart from midnite and KS there are probably 2 or 3 others who has fighting skills. Trust me, i have seen it first hand.

So dont really see that helping much.

But certain i agree with your idea of overkill. Dont like doing that either.

On a different topic, helping HA Jr with resources is somehting i mentioned on my ideas about HA Jr already....any thoughts on that?

I would be happy to help out in a war with DOE, but Asmita is right- we just aren't a fighting alliance.

If you guys sent us warriors again- but this time sent us the lower score folks- the ones under 175K- we could probably put together a decent fighting force. (I gotta say... I think those guys should be in HA Jr anyways... but that's just my own opinion.)

As far as resources and garrison rights- count us in! I have sulfur to donate to the cause.

Only 2 such players out here. And honestly, I dont know them much. Never seen them talk.

the way i see it:

war is just a waste of time unless it i really necessary ( and i havent seen the necessity fo it yet since my 3 yrs of playing.)

since you cannot "kill" off player, there is no point except the exchange of words and slingers...

the only thing one ca do to someone is maske them go inactive..

its just a game and my point is go pillage and build and on the odd occassion, start something you can finish yourself.

alliances will keep you protected as long as you have the right tools in place to protect yourself.

i dont agree on farming as whats the point. someone who needs a level 9 GR needs like 700,000 wood. if thats in your town are you considered a farm? i dont think so.
to me growth is the best choice and war comes 2nd..

On a different note that does correlate. We have acquired several good fighters from DOE that now have the HAHA tag and it would strengthen us in that Region if we could work towards merging them into us.

It seems we started a trend for Theta to merge into mega alliances and since we are currently 3rd it wouldnt hurt for us to entertain the idea with them.

Just a thought!

As per the subject of this thread........I'm with whatever you all decide!

the only concern i would have about jumping in would be that if we jump in with everyone, we would look like bullies being the number 3 alliance. I realize most people don't care if we do or not so I don't know how much that matters lol. Tim brings up a good point though about merging. If we would end up merging after helping them then it wouldn't matter anyways if we look like bullies or not. Maybe if there was a way to send a limited number of people to help or send limited help to them and make it known that not everyone is getting involved we could get away with that and still gain some allies with DOE. Like Tim said though, whatever is decided, I'm with you guys.

Well we could combine all those thoughts. How about if we have some of the HA-HA fighters from that area join HA-Jr. Have the assistance come from Ha-Jr and we help them fight. The folks that we send over can get a feel for DoE's members and after its all done we merge and we can split them between HA-HA and HA-Jr where ever they fit best.

I like the idea, but we must also understand that by doing so we will expose our Jr team into the war zone. We can no longer say they are our training alliance. They will just be our B-team, if we use them this way.

brbdc, u will at least have something to talk abt if the DOE guys ask.

First off, exposing HA Jrs to danger is NEVER a deterent for us going to war. We are very well set in defensive play.

Our biggest challenge is players willing to fight. The few that are interested in attacking do not have even the researches yet to compete with premuim troops.

I suggest that I send out a circular asking if anyone is interested in learning the art of attacks, while HAHA sends out a circular asking if anyone is interested in teaching the art of attack.

As I get responses, we can pair up A HAHA Envoy to come visit, and join them up with a HA Jr trainee to teach them one on one the ins and outs of pillage, posting Combat Reports, and getting them hooked on the various nuances of the game.

I think that sending aid to DOE is and always will be a bad idea. They proven them selves to be nothing but farms from day one.

Now sending them aid from HA jr in my opinion would be a bad idea. I would like to stress that we are not the Theta defense force......

I agree. If anything, we should work with C4, against MLP.

lol I feel the same way with C4 against MLP, they are similar size.. The only way I would suggest helping C4 would be if RUMR jumped in...

OK, now that we have moved on to the C4/MLP issue, I find it very interesting, mostly bcoz my/our dear vella is there.

As per the boards, they are getting whooped by the ponies and that is something that gets on my nerves.

I have reasons to believe that C4 will be very excited to have HAHA by their side.

I have info that confirms that is this war, PAC is already helping the ponies. And they have reasons to believe that the ponies are getting covert support from TNT.

Now RumR is another story. I am sure some of us are frnds with the C4 gang and get some more info.

But I love the idea of jumping in. Have u guys seen some of the fabulous bonfires they have had.....only bad news is that C4 lost all of them!!!

Bon fires area bad way to fight personally,
